Liverpool have made a new striker a top priority for the summer transfer window – at least according to The Athletic.
Jurgen Klopp wants to add a new forward to his ranks despite landing Diogo Jota last summer, and this could be because of Divock Origi’s future.
The Belgian striker is expected to leave Anfield this summer, and a host of clubs are now being linked with moves to sign Origi at the end of the season.
El Gol Digital claim that Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers all want Origi, but it’s Real Sociedad pushing hardest.
They are allegedly in talks over a deal to sign Origi this summer, viewing him as a potential replacement for star striker Alexander Isak.
The Mirror report that Manchester City want to sign Isak this summer, having seen him hit 12 goals in 23 La Liga games this season.

Now though, Liverpool fans are taking to Twitter to suggest that, if Sociedad want Origi to replace Isak, why not engineer a swap deal and give Klopp the new striker he wants?
Isak is big and strong at 6ft 4in tall, meaning he could bring Liverpool something a little different, and fans are calling for a deal to be done.
Some think a swap would be ‘daylight robbery’, urging Liverpool to show Isak the money and bring him to Anfield as an exchange works for everyone.
