It seems like Liverpool are being linked with a new centre back every other day right now, such is their need for a defender.
The Reds saw Virgil van Dijk go down with a torn anterior cruciate ligament injury last month, and he is understandably a huge miss.
Joel Matip and Fabinho are also out injured too, meaning Nat Phillips started against West Ham United on Saturday – a situation Jurgen Klopp won’t want to persist with long-term.
Liverpool now need to sign a centre back in January, and The Mirror claim that they are now interested in signing Ajax talent Perr Schuurs.
The 20-year-old had a trial spell at Liverpool two years ago as he emerged with Fortuna Sittard, but instead ended up in Ajax, where he is now starting.
Schuurs stands at 6ft 3in tall, and now has 21 first-team appearances for Ajax having stepped up under Erik ten Hag, and Liverpool have maintained their interest.

Jurgen Klopp allegedly felt that Schuurs was impressive when Liverpool beat Ajax 1-0 last month, and Reds fans have been calling him ‘excellent’ off the back of that display.
Some think Schuurs looks ‘quality’, believing that he has huge potential and Liverpool need to ‘get it done’ having previously missed out on him.
