Liverpool may not be huge spenders in the transfer market this summer, with the global pandemic cutting into their budget.
The Reds have already passed on a move for Timo Werner, and it’s unlikely that Jurgen Klopp will splash the cash.
However, players are still being linked with the Reds, and one new rumour emerged over the weekend.
Le10 Sport have claimed that Liverpool want to sign RB Leipzig defender Nordi Mukiele, rivalling Paris Saint-Germain for his signature.
They state that Liverpool already have an arrangement with Mukiele’s agent to discuss a deal, with Klopp particularly keen.
Mukiele, 22, has hit three goals and three assists in 25 Bundesliga games this season, playing predominantly as a right back whilst also being able to play in the centre of defence.
The Frenchman is a great talent, but it would be a surprise to see Liverpool move for Mukiele; they have a top right back in Trent Alexander-Arnold and a promising youngster in Neco Williams.

Mukiele could be viewed as a centre back to replace Dejan Lovren, but that would take away his attacking ability.
Liverpool fans have been reacting to the rumour, and believing that he would be ‘massive’ for Liverpool if he signs.
Some branded him a ‘gem’, and really hope that the rumours are true because he could be an ‘insane’ addition to Klopp’s squad.
