Liverpool had their crowning on Wednesday night, and their trophy presentation was marked in style with a 5-3 win over Chelsea.

The Reds were finally able to lift the Premier League title in their final home game of the season, and Jurgen Klopp’s men didn’t relax on their big night.

Naby Keita smashed Liverpool in front with a stunning long-range strike, before Trent Alexander-Arnold followed suit.

Gini Wijnaldum added a third, only for Olivier Giroud to grab one back for Chelsea. Roberto Firmino’s home drought ended with a fine header, with Tammy Abraham and Christian Pulisic pulling back goals to leave Liverpool a little nervy.

However, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain rounded off the scoring from a flowing counter-attack, meaning Klopp and co enjoyed an almost perfect night.

The night will be remembered for the trophy presentation, but Liverpool fans rightfully picked out Keita for praise.

The 25-year-old has blown hot and cold since signing from RB Leipzig in 2018, but he has impressed since football returned last month.

Keita now has three goal involvements in his last five games for Liverpool, and looks to finally be hitting top form for the Reds.

Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to praise Keita, noting that he has been ‘immense’ since the restart, whilst believing that he could be Liverpool’s main man in midfield next season if he can stay fit.
