Naby Keita has been left out of Liverpool’s squad for their Champions League clash with Bayern Munich tonight, and some Reds fans took to Twitter in response to the news.
The 24-year-old joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2018, for a fee believed to be worth somewhere in the region of £52.75 million, according to the Independent, but he has struggled to establish himself at Anfield.
Keita arrived in England from the Bundesliga with a big reputation, but Reds fans are yet to see the best of the Guinean.
The powerhouse midfielder has racked up just one assist, and no goals, in 27 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool thus far, and he has a long way to go if he is to start justifying his enormous price-tag.
The Reds will have to make do without Keita for tonight’s Champions League clash with Bayern at the Allianz Arena, and many Liverpool fans took to Twitter in reaction to the midfielder’s omission from the squad…
