The Ajax centre-back is already one of the finest central defenders in the game – a quite remarkable statement considering the fact that he is just 19-years-old.

It seems as though the Reds will have to look at other targets now, however, with De Ligt reportedly on the verge of joining reigning Serie A champions Juventus from Ajax (De Telegraaf).
The Mirror claims that the 19-year-old will earn £310,000 per week at Juve.
