Liverpool’s attack hasn’t been quite as impressive this season – and that means summer moves could be on the wish list.

Diogo Jota has impressed, but it may be time for Liverpool to look into signing a creative midfield player; a real attacking threat that has been missing from midfield since selling Philippe Coutinho.

On Saturday, the Daily Star reported that Liverpool are now interested in signing Martin Odegaard, who is currently on loan at Arsenal from Real Madrid.

The Norwegian playmaker has been starring for Arsenal of late, bagging goals against Olympiacos and Tottenham Hotspur before controlling the game against West Ham United.

Arsenal want to keep hold of Odegaard, but the £50million price tag is a major issue for the Gunners – which is where Liverpool could swoop in and hijack them.

The 22-year-old admitted in 2014 that Liverpool have always been his dream club, and fans have been taking to Twitter to react to the rumours.

Some are urging Liverpool to get a deal done, believing that he would be a great signing whilst winding up at Arsenal fans in the process.

Others want to ‘bring him home’ having admitted he loves Liverpool, with a real belief that he can provide greater creativity than Coutinho going forward.
