Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after watching a clip of Marcelo Pitaluga in training ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Ajax.

The Brazilian glovesman was filmed taking part in a rondo, where a circle of players attempt to pass the ball around a player or two stuck in the middle.

Pitaluga looks more than comfortable in possession in the short clip, helping to keep the ball away from Diogo Jota and Andy Robertson.

The 17-year-old was signed for an initial £700,000 from Fluminense with the help of Alisson’s brother, Muriel Becker, earlier this month.

He helped Brazil win the Under-17 World Cup last year, and has gone straight into first-team training with the Premier League champions.

With Alisson currently out injured, and his deputy in Adrian struggling between the sticks, a lot of focus has been on the teenager when perhaps it shouldn’t be given his age.

We previously revealed that some Liverpool supporters wanted the young Brazilian to replace Adrian as Jurgen Klopp’s No.2.
