Lewis Cook was linked with a summer move to Liverpool earlier in the year, and it appears that some fans would be in favour of a deal.

Several Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to heap praise on Lewis Cook after the midfielder’s performance in the Reds’ Premier League clash with Bournemouth on Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp’s men followed their stunning Champions League victory over Manchester City in midweek by keeping themselves right in the hunt for second place in the top flight as they thrashed Eddie Howe’s side 3-0 at Anfield.

Sadio Mane took just seven minutes to break the deadlock, but Liverpool’s next goal would not come until around the midway point in the second-half as a stunning cross from Trent Alexander-Arnold was met by an equally brilliant header from Mohamed Salah – and there will be no need for the dubious goals panel to decide whether the Egyptian has indeed notched up his 30th league goal of the campaign.

The victory was rounded off in the final minutes as Roberto Firmino scored his 15th league goal of the season. Despite Liverpool running out comfortable winners however, there was one Bournemouth player who did impress a large section of the Kop.

Lewis Cook has been extremely impressive throughout the campaign – recently making his debut for the England senior side – and although he did not enjoy the best day on Merseyside, he did catch the eye less than two months after ESPN reported that the £20 million-rated midfielder was on Liverpool’s radar.

The 21-year-old looked decent when he had the ball and some of the Reds fans feel that he could be a good addition to their options in the middle of the park ahead of next season.
