Liverpool reportedly want to re-sign the Barcelona ace.

According to a report from Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato, Liverpool have tabled a stunning bid to sign Barcelona ace Philippe Coutinho, and some Reds fans took to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.

The Brazilian play-maker left Anfield under acrimonious circumstances 18 months ago, for a fee believed to be worth £142 million according to BBC Sport, but he has looked like a shadow of his former self at the Camp Nou.

Barca are now believed to be keen to raise funds, having signed Antoine Griezmann for £108 million, and with Neymar on their summer wish-list.

And Liverpool have tabled a two-year loan offer for Coutinho, with an option to buy for £88 million, according to Italian publication Calcio Mercato.

The Brazil international is far from the most popular of players at Anfield, and he might find it hard to win over the Liverpool fans again, after he pushed so hard for an exit from the club in January 2018.
