Liverpool take on Fulham in the Premier League today, but they’ll have to do it without Diogo Jota.
The 24-year-old picked up a knock against Midtjylland in midweek, and Jurgen klopp has already confirmed that he will be out for today’s trip to West London.
Now though, Record – a newspaper back in Jota’s homeland of Portugal – report that the Liverpool attacker will now be out for two months.
His 2020 is allegedly over, and he looks set to miss the busy schedule over Christmas and New Year as a result of his injury blow.
Jota has been superb for Liverpool so far, scoring nine times in 17 games for the Reds since making his big-money move from Wolverhampton Wanderers over the summer.
Fans were always going to be annoyed with another injury after losing the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez in recent times, but this one really stings.

Jota played 87 minutes of a fairly meaningless Champions League game with Midtjylland at a time when Klopp is cursing the workload on his players.
Jota didn’t start against Wolves last weekend, which is likely why he started against the Danish side, but some fans aren’t happy with Klopp’s decision.
Some feel that Klopp is to blame for Jota’s injury as he played him in a meaningless game, and the decision now appears to be a ‘stupid’ one from the Liverpool boss – and ultimately one of his few mistakes.
