The long-term Liverpool target will be allowed to leave Lyon this summer, according to Jean-Michel Aulas.
Liverpool came so close to signing Nabil Fekir from Lyon in the summer of 2018.
The France international’s £53m move to Anfield was called off at the very last minute due to concerns over his fitness, according to a report from the Telegraph.
And now, according to a report from the Sun, the Reds could go back in for Fekir this summer.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas sensationally claimed last night that the 25-year-old Liverpool target is free to leave this summer, as quoted by Sky Sports:
“[With] Nabil we have an understanding that he can go. Thanks Nabil for bringing what he brought, we have an understanding to let him go.”
Fekir was in fine form once again for Lyon this season, racking up 12 goals and nine assists in 39 appearances in all competitions, and he would undoubtedly be a great addition for the Merseyside outfit.
The Frenchman is one of the finest attacking midfielders in world football, and the creativity and guile that he would bring to Liverpool would definitely take Jurgen Klopp’s side to another level.
