The Liverpool manager paid tribute to his veteran midfielder on Wednesday.

The Anfield star, who The Mirror report earns £120,000-a-week, is entering his fifth season at the club and at 33 looks in better shape than ever, leading by example as the squad prepares for a big English Premier League campaign and the defence of their UEFA Champions League crown.
Klopp can barely contain his admiration for the player, believing he is “blessed” to be working with the tireless midfield man.
As quoted by liverpoolfc.com, the Reds boss said when asked if he’s managed a player of Milner’s like before: “There have not been many.
“I was blessed to have a few players like this; Sebastian Kehl, for example, at Dortmund was a more experienced player in a very young team and was a leader in that team, like Millie is.
“And I think Millie improved his football a lot in the last two or three years as well.”
Despite his age, Milner continues to have an important role at Liverpool, making 45 appearances in all competitions last season and playing all but one of the matches on the road to European success in Madrid.

With the ability to play in a variety of midfield and defensive positions, he provides ideal squad depth with an energy and application on the pitch that is a credit to him.
It’s fair to say he’s a popular man on the Anfield terraces too and Liverpool supporters were quick to find joy in Klopp’s recent comments, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts…
