Jordan Henderson of Liverpool looks on during the Premier League match between Leicester City and Liverpool at The King Power Stadium on September 23, 2017 in Leicester, England.

Liverpool played out an entertaining 3-2 win over Leicester City on Saturday, in part avenging their recent defeat in the third round of the EFL Cup.

The Foxes also struck twice on that occasion, but this time Liverpool managed some goals of their own, winning courtesy of strikes from Mohamed Salah, Philippe Coutinho and Jordan Henderson.

The latter was making his ninth appearance of the season in all competitions, and his fifth in six league games.

Henderson sat out Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Burnley earlier this month but he was back in the action for this vital fixture, scoring what proved to be the vital goal before Jamie Vardy prompted some late panic for the visitors.
