The Sunday Post reported yesterday that Liverpool have added McGinn to their list of summer transfer targets as they pursue a new midfielder.
Bizarrely, the report stated that McGinn was valued at around £20million, which is a price Villa would never sell for given that he is contracted for another four years.
Try double that amount, but McGinn – who excelled for Scotland in Friday’s 0-0 draw against England – appears to be on Michael Edwards’ radar at Liverpool.

Some are naturally sceptical of the alleged price tag, but feel that he would be a ‘brilliant’ buy if Liverpool can pull it off.
Others think that he could easily take down Paul Pogba in a midfield battle, and believe that he is ‘perfect’ for this Liverpool side given his energy and work rate.
