Liverpool made it two wins from two on Sunday, beating Chelsea 2-0 at Stamford Bridge with a Sadio Mane brace.
The Reds took full of advantage of Andreas Christensen’s red card to claim a comfortable win; certainly less stressful than last week’s 4-3 win over Leeds United.
Playing against 10 men for half of the game certainly helped, but Liverpool wwill be delighted with the clean sheet.
Fabinho was forced to play at centre back with both Joe Gomez and Joel Matip out of action, and he coped brilliantly with Timo Werner.
Another player who can be pleased with his afternoon’s work is goalkeeper Alisson, as he saved Jorginho’s penalty to preserve Liverpool’s clean sheet.
Before the game, pundit Jamie Carragher told Sky Sports (20/09, 2:30pm) that he is concerned with Alisson’s form in 2020.
Carragher suggested that the Brazilian’s form was reminiscent of former Liverpool stopper Simon Mignolet, which has to be a worry for Liverpool.

Alisson responded with a clean sheet and a penalty save, and Liverpool fans have been taking to Twitter to react to Carragher’s comments.
Some believe that Carragher is being far too ‘harsh’ on Alisson, branding his comments an over exaggeration as whilst his form has dipped, he hasn’t been nearly as bad as Carragher is suggesting.
Other think the ex-Reds defender is right, believing that his comments are ‘low key true’ because attention hasn’t been placed on Alisson recently despite some concerning displays.
