Liverpool could only draw 1-1 with Burnley this weekend.

Liverpool’s hit-and-miss start to the new campaign continued as they drew 1-1 with Burnley on Saturday afternoon despite having a raft of chances to put the game to bed.
Burnley took the lead at Anfield courtesy of Scott Arfield before great work from summer signing Mohamed Salah put Liverpool level.

Despite having chance after chance, the Reds could not find a second, and were it not for a goal-line clearance from Joel Matip, it could have been even worse for Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp watched his side throw away two points against Sevilla in midweek and now the Reds have dropped two more domestic points due to wastefulness in front of goal.

The German boss made some changes to his starting line-up with the experienced James Milner coming in for Jordan Henderson, but it was not a positive transformation.
The 31-year-old is Mr Dependable but Liverpool need so much more than that in games like this; they need a player who will take the match by the scruff of the neck and ensure they get all three points.
Last season’s makeshift left-back has only started two matches for Liverpool so far this season and on recent evidence he is unlikely to get the nod much more.
