Harvey Elliott made his Liverpool debut in Scotland today.

Liverpool were well and truly spanked by Napoli at Murrayfield this afternoon.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side put the Champions League winners to the sword with a 3-0 demolition in Scotland.
There were very few positives from a Liverpool perspective – but one was certainly Harvey Elliott’s bow.
The Reds only announced Elliott’s arrival from Fulham this morning and the 16-year-old earned a 15-minute cameo against the Italian giants.
It might’ve only been a friendly but, given the opposition, it was a big stage for the teenage gem nonetheless and he managed to offer a glimpse into his potential with a fine debut.
And here’s how fans of the Anfield club reacted to his performance:
It remains to be seen what kind of role Elliott has this season, but surely Jurgen Klopp will be tempted to keep him in the senior squad for the 2019-20 campaign.
After all, he already has Premier League experience after playing three times for Fulham last season, becoming the youngest player in the history of the competition to make an appearance.
That alone doesn’t mean he’s ready to be starting every week for the Reds, but it does suggest that he’s much more advanced than your average 16-year-old gem and it’s fascinating to see what Klopp’s plan is.
