Wijnaldum was in action for Liverpool in their Premier League game against Villa away from home at Villa Park.
The 28-year-old midfielder started the match and played for 65 minutes, as Jurgen Klopp’s side won 2-1.
The former Newcastle United star was largely anonymous in the first half, and failed to do much of note in the second period before he was substituted.
According to WhoScored, Wijnaldum took one shot which was on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 90.9%, took 56 touches, attempted one dribble, and made one tackle and one interception.
The win against Villa means that the Merseyside outfit are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 31 points from 11 matches.
Liverpool fans were not impressed with the display produced by Wijnaldum and have criticised the Dutchman on Twitter.
