Liverpool fans on Twitter believe that tonight’s win over Everton represented a watershed moment for midfielder Fabinho.
The former Monaco star, who earns £100,000 week in Merseyside [Total Sportek], has struggled to put his stamp on this Liverpool team since arriving in the summer.
It took the 25-year-old nearly two months to make his full Premier League debut for the Reds, and even then he looked rather inconsistent.
But he was exceptional in Liverpool’s dramatic Merseyside derby win over Everton at Anfield this evening, and some fans of the Anfield club reckon that he has ‘arrived’ now.
How Liverpool could’ve done with Fabinho on Paris on Wednesday night, as Jurgen Klopp’s side lost 2-1 to PSG, but he was an unused sub.
Jordan Henderson started ahead of the Brazil international that night but it looks like it’ll be a while before the England international can displace Fabinho, based on his latest outing.
For now, he and Georginio Wijnaldum look a brilliant midfield pairing and one that Klopp will surely stick with for Wednesday’s visit to Burnley.
