Liverpool fans react to Everton’s interest in Memphis Depay

Everton boss Marco Silva is said to be keen on Memphis Depay, who has also been linked with a move to Anfield with Liverpool.

Liverpool fans have been left in hysterics after it was reported by L’Equipe that Memphis Depay does not think that a move to Everton is prestigious enough for him.

Both Liverpool and Everton have been linked with Lyon forward Depay this summer.

However, L’Equipe claim that the Toffees’ interest is at a far more advanced stage.

Depay, though, does not want to move to Goodison Park at this moment in time, according to the reports in France.

And Liverpool fans have taken the opportunity to poke fun at their Merseyside rivals.

Depay would almost certainly make a good addition to Everton’s side as they hunt a striker.

The Toffees have lacked a goalscorer, and Depay could help to fill that void.

If Liverpool did make a move for the Dutch international it is more difficult to see him breaking into Jurgen Klopp’s side’s starting line-up, as their attack is more set.
