Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Danny Ings for Southampton against Arsenal at the weekend.
Ings scored twice for Southampton in their 3-2 win against Arsenal at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.
The 26-year-old forward scored first in the 20th minute and then on 44 minutes, as the Saints enhanced their chances of escaping the dreaded drop to the Championship at the end of the season.
The England international has made 11 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for the Saints so far this season, scoring six goals and providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.
Ings joined Southampton on a season-long loan deal from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
According to Sky Sports, the move will be made permanent in the summer of 2019 for a guaranteed transfer fee of £18 million.
