Daniel Sturridge came under fire from Liverpool fans on Sunday.

Liverpool maintained their stuttering start to the Premier League season with a 1-1 draw at Newcastle United on Sunday.
Philippe Coutinho’s stunning effort gave Liverpool a 1-0 lead on 29 minutes but Joselu levelled up for the Magpies seven minutes later.
The Reds spurned a number of chances to re-establish the lead, with Daniel Sturridge missing perhaps the best opportunity of the game.

Five minutes after the break, Ciaran Clark’s sliced clearance fell kindly for Sturridge but he fired straight at goalkeeper Rob Elliot in a glorious chance.
The 28-year-old has only managed four goals in his last 25 Premier League appearances under Jurgen Klopp, and fans of the Anfield club weren’t happy with the former Chelsea man on Twitter afterwards.

The England forward certainly looks a different player to the one who, along with Luis Suarez, almost fired Liverpool to a Premier League title in 2014. He has the potential but, for whatever reason, he is unable to find his best form, despite being given chances.
That was his third start in the Premier League this season and he won’t be surprised if he is dropped after the international break.
