Liverpool have earned deserved praise for their work in the transfer market in recent years, as Michael Edwards has played a key role in the club’s progress.
The Reds have brought in the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson, Fabinho, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, all helping them win the title.
Having become champions of England, Liverpool now have to think about how they take the next step forward – and another attacker may be needed.
Mane, Salah and Roberto Firmino is an incredible front line, but they need some more help, and Edwards will be hoping to find one.
However, some Liverpool fans have pointed out how the club missed out on a potentially perfect signing – Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic.
Having briefly worked with Jurgen Klopp at Borussia Dortmund, some assumed that the American would end up at Anfield, especially given the club’s American owners, the Fenway Sports Group.

The Liverpool Echo noted last year that Liverpool didn’t think Pulisic would get into their first team, and didn’t feel they needed him after landing Xherdan Shaqiri months earlier.
Pulisic ended up at Chelsea instead, and he was in fine form against Norwich City on Monday night as he picked up another assist, crossing for Olivier Giroud’s winner.
Liverpool fans took to Twitter in order to show their appreciation of Pulisic, branding him ‘outrageous’ whilst being angry that FSG didn’t bring him to Anfield, believing that it is ‘criminal’ that he isn’t a Red.
