The 20-year-old winger, who can also play at number 10, impressed in his country’s World Cup opener against Iran a little earlier today.
In fact, the Schalke star was arguably the game’s stand-out performer, lighting up the Saint Petersburg Stadium with skills and electric running which wowed the supporters.
Liverpool fans like the look of him so much that they want Klopp to sign him this summer.
Here is how the Reds’ faithful reacted to the Moroccan star’s performance.
Harit is contracted to the Bundesliga side until 2021 and, according to Transfermarkt, is valued at around £22 million.
However, that valuation does not take into account his World Cup performances, and if he builds on this evening’s dazzling display then he will surely be worth a hell of a lot more in the very near future.
Liverpool fans don’t particularly need him either, it must be said. They have Sadio Mane and Mo Salah, two of the best wide men in the business, and Harit, at 20, needs to be playing regularly to finish his development and, well, that wouldn’t happen at Anfield.
