Liverpool defender impressed in one-sided win over Swansea.

Liverpool’s win over Swansea City was a game where the Reds’ attacking players will rightly get the plaudits, but at the back Ragnar Klavan put in a commanding display.
The Estonian defender’s place in the side could be under threat if the Reds bring in another defender next month as speculated.
In Liverpool’s 5-0 victory over Swansea, Klavan was impressive, shutting out the threat posed by the away side’s inexperienced attack.

Klavan touched the ball 105 times, completing 92 per cent of his passes, while making two important interceptions.
Far from being a liability, Klavan was the figure of dependability last night, and just what Liverpool needed after their defensive collapse against Arsenal on December 22.
Dejan Lovren missed the win over Swansea, and might not get back into the side after this performance when Liverpool take on Leicester City this weekend.
Lovren may not be a permanent solution for the Reds, but his performance was encouraging, and helped provide the platform for Liverpool’s more exciting attackers to rip their opponents apart.
Here is a look at how Liverpool fans reacted on Twitter to Klavan’s performance…
