Liverpool fans on Twitter wouldn’t mind rivalling Everton for Yaya Toure.

Some Liverpool fans on Twitter would happily take Yaya Toure on a free transfer this summer.
The legendary Ivorian midfielder will leave Manchester City when his contract expires in the coming months.
Toure, who turns 35 next week, would undoubtedly command big wages despite the lack of transfer fee – around £220,000 per week [The Daily Mail] for instance – but Liverpool fans are intrigued by what his agent told Sky Sports this week.
Dimitry Seluk claimed that his client remains determined to prove that he can still cut it in the Premier League, and would be willing to pay back 50% of his salary if the English club who signs him are not satisfied by his contributions.
He said: “Yaya is fit and desperate to prove he’s still the best central midfielder in the Premier League. Ivory Coast will not be in Russia for the World Cup and next season he will be fit, rested and stronger than ever.

“He’s happy to accept a one-year deal to stay in England. And if his club are not satisfied with his performances, he will pay back half his wages, or the club can cancel his contract immediately with no compensation.”
And suffice to say that quite a lot of Liverpool supporters would be interested in seeing the three-time Premier League champion at Anfield next season.
Liverpool will have competition if Jurgen Klopp does take an interest, with The Mirror reporting that Everton among others are keen on the towering midfielder.
But you have to imagine that the Reds – who face Real Madrid in a Champions League final this month – would appeal to him more than Everton or any other Premier League side.
