Liverpool are reportedly monitoring Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama’s situation.

According to reports from the Daily Mail, Liverpool are one of the three clubs that are keeping an eye on the situation of Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama, the other two clubs being Chelsea and Manchester United.
The 26-year-old is yet to start a Premier League game since returning to action after a knee injury kept him on the sidelines till December.

Wanyama came on as a sub against Liverpool at Anfield, and his thunderbolt strike helped Spurs secure a 2-2 draw.
Liverpool could be looking to sign a defensive midfielder in the summer, especially if Emre Can leaves the club.
Recently, Steven Gerrard, the former Liverpool player and club legend said that Liverpool would benefit from a player like Wanyama who sits deep and provides protection to the back four.

Wanyama is an experienced Premier League midfielder and is one of the important players for Mauricio Pochettino’s side. So, it will not be easy for Liverpool to lure him away from north London.
He is a strong and combative midfielder who is very good in possession. Liverpool took to social networking site Twitter to express their reaction.
