Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed their new ground will not host their fixture against Liverpool next month.

The clash against the Reds was set to be Spurs’ first game in their new ground, before announcing last night that safety concerns means they must postpone their move.

Instead Spurs will play at Wembley until further notice, as they did last season.

The NFL game set to be hosted at Tottenham’s new stadium has also been moved to Wembley, the latest in a series of setbacks for the club.

The game between Spurs and Liverpool was a glamour fixture which would have certainly been worthy of kicking off a new era for the Lilywhites.
