Liverpool winger only commits his short term future to the club.

Liverpool winger Sadio Mane has risked upsetting fans by failing to promise he will stay at the club long term.

The Senegalese winger had a terrific season this past year, netting 20 goals and providing eight assists.
He said: “I am very happy in Liverpool and my contract will last for three more years.
“But you never know what will happen in the future. I want to win trophies, especially the Champions League.”

Mane scored in the recent Champions League final and he can surely be forgiven for dreaming of going one better.
He is one of three incredible Liverpool attackers who destroyed European defences this past season, in company with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.
Spanish outlet El Gol Digital spuriously linked Mane with a move to Real Madrid earlier this month.
Liverpool fans do not really need to worry about his comments too much, but they are a reminder that the Reds must progress and start taking the next step.
That means winning honours domestically, with Liverpool’s last trophy coming with Kenny Dalglish six years ago.
Here is a look at how Liverpool fans reacted to his comments…
