Sadio Mane being crowned the PFA Fans’ Premier League Player of the Month award for August and September, it was announced today.
In the PFA fans poll, held on Sky Sports’ website and apps, in which nearly 78,000 voted, the Liverpool attacker won the award comfortably with 38,199.
Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne came second with 24,340 votes, way ahead of Watford midfielder Etienne Capoue in third with 6,256. Rounding off the top six were Diego Costa (4,247), Michail Antonio (3,116) and Curtis Davies (1,837).

The 24-year-old beat the competition justifiably after a sensational start to the season with his new club.
The attacker has become a crucial part of Jurgen Klopp’s side since his arrival from Southampton in the summer, scoring three goals in just five league games.
It is not a coincidence that the club’s only league defeat of the season against Burnley was missed by Mane through a shoulder injury, highlighting how vital he really is.
