Ryan Kent has left Liverpool to return to Rangers.

Ryan Kent #40 of Liverpool handles the ball during a pre-season friendly against Sevilla at Fenway Park on July 21, 2019 in Boston, Massachusetts.

Rangers last night sealed the transfer of Liverpool winger Ryan Kent, BBC Sport reported.

Kent spent last year at Rangers on loan and became a fan favourite.

He was already known to Rangers boss Steven Gerrard from his time at Liverpool and now Kent has the chance to work with him once again.

Kent had been linked to Rangers throughout the summer, but Liverpool were not willing to let him go cheaply.

This saw the saga drag on and it was unclear if Kent would have to make do with under-23 football.

Rangers’ loss at home to Celtic at the weekend saw the club intensify their efforts to sign the 22-year-old.

At the start of the summer it had seemed there may be an opening for Kent to push on and win a place in Liverpool’s squad, but this did not work out for him.

BBC Sport report Liverpool will receive £6.5 million plus a further £1.5 million in add ons, and a 20 per cent sell on clause.

Here is a look at how Reds fans reacted to the deal…
