A wretched performance from Liverpool last night helped give Leicester City a lifeline in their battle against relegation.
There was not a single Reds player who did themselves justice, but the performance of Roberto Firmino up front was particularly dismal.
The Brazilian was playing as he has done regularly, as a striker, despite his more natural position being as an attacking midfielder.
Firmino has been badly off form in 2017, and it has surely got to the stage where his inclusion in the starting XI cannot be justified despite his clear talent.
He did not muster a single shot at goal in 90 minutes, and registered more unsuccessful touches of the ball (7) than any player on the pitch.
The 25-year-old has only two goals in his last 10 appearances, both coming in the defeat to Swansea City in late January.
He has eight league goals in total this season but has gone badly off the boil, and manager Jurgen Klopp must consider changing his approach to get the Reds back on track.
