Liverpool fans have loved Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez’s praise of supporters in England, as he seemingly missed out Chelsea fans.

Benitez was speaking to Sky Sports after Newcastle United’s victory over Burnley, when he was heralded by the away fans at Turf Moor.

After the game, Benitez was commenting on what he thought about supporters in England.

And he said: “I’m really pleased in England. I’ve had three spells in England. The Liverpool fans, they are amazing, and the Newcastle United fans, they are amazing too.”

The failure to mention Chelsea fans did not go unnoticed by Liverpool supporters.

And followers of the Reds were quick to praise Benitez’s comments on social media website Twitter.

Benitez remains hugely popular at Anfield, and he is worshipped by Newcastle supporters.

The Spanish boss’s future at St. James’ Park is up in the air though, as his contract at Newcastle is due to expire at the end of the season.
