Liverpool currently hold a five-point lead over Manchester City in the Premier League table as they will now turn their attention to Champions League matters.

Liverpool fans on Twitter saw the funny side to Pep Guardiola stating that Manchester City supporters need to be ‘seduced’ into loving the Champions League.
The Reds, who suffered a defeat against Napoli on the opening night, are looking to win their seventh European crown this term.
Ahead of the second round of fixtures, Guardiola seemingly suggested that his club and their supporters need to be attracted to the tournament a lot more if they are to win it.
He stated that the ‘culture’ of Manchester City in the past has been to watch the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool in this competition, as quoted by BBC Sport.
A number of Reds fans were in hysterics at Guardiola’s comments, as they also pointed out that he couldn’t help but mention Liverpool in one of his press conferences again.

Whilst Man City dominate on the domestic front in England, their rivals proved their worth in Europe last season when they beat Tottenham in the final.
There’s no doubt that Liverpool are craving a Premier League title, as they hope to end their barren run without a title this season.
As for City, questions are being asked as to whether they can win this competition for the first time, and whether Guardiola can add another Champions League medal to his name.
Nonetheless, here is a selection of Liverpool fans on Twitter reacting to Guardiola’s comments:
