Former Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel haunted Manchester United.
Former Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel haunted Manchester United last night as he helped Fenerbahce to a 2-1 win.
Skrtel joined the Turkish side this summer and while he was on the wrong end of a 4-1 loss at Old Trafford a fortnight ago, he got his own back last night.

Skrtel dominated Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, whose barren run in front of goal continues.
He is the second former Liverpool player to help inflict Europa League defeat on Manchester United this season, with ex-teammate Dirk Kuyt helping Fenerbahce pull off a win over the Red Devils earlier in the season.
Skrtel signed for Liverpool in 2008 under Rafa Benitez, making more than 300 appearances for the club in all competitions.

United’s loss is a blow ahead of their weekend trip to Swansea City, where they lost their last two matches.
With a miserable trip back to the UK, United’s confidence will have been dented, and if they drop points against the Swans and Liverpool beat Watford this weekend, Skrtel can claim to have done his old side a favour.
