The Serbia international midfielder spent the second half of last season loan at Cardiff City and hopes to have returned a better player for the experience.
Last night he showed he is making strides, impressing in a 2-1 win against a young City side.
Strong pre-season performances from Grujic are becoming a tradition at Liverpool, with this his third year of it for the club.
This time he hopes it will lead to more first team chances, although with Fabinho and Naby Keita signing, it will be tough for him to break through.
Grujic will hope for a starting role in Liverpool’s next game, which is on Saturday evening against Manchester United.
