Liverpool supporters were impressed with Southampton’s Mario Lemina.

Liverpool eased to victory over Southampton on Sunday thanks to two first half goals from Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.
The win at St Mary’s should not be much of a surprise given how the Reds have persistently raided Southampton for players over the past four years.
After the 2-0 win Liverpool fans were calling on their club to sign another, after being impressed with French midfielder Mario Lemina.

Southampton signed Lemina in the summer from Juventus, and he has had an impressive season despite his team’s struggles.
Liverpool fans reacted positively to Lemina’s display despite his 57th minute substitution due to an injury.
Liverpool were 2-0 before Lemina went off but the former Juventus star did not make it easy for the Reds in midfield.
Lemina managed 52 touches, substantially more than Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in Liverpool’s midfield (33), who was substituted two minutes later, and the same number as Georginio Wijnaldum, who played the full 90 minutes
The Frenchman won three tackles, more than Emre Can, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Wijnaldum did combined (2).
Southampton will not want to let Lemina leave after just one season, but given Liverpool’s track record, it would be no surprise if they did consider him as a summer target.
