Liverpool miss out on transfer target to Jurgen Klopp’s former side.

Liverpool have missed out on signing Syrian midfield ace Mahmoud Dahoud.
Dahoud has starred for Bundesliga side Borussia Moenchengladbach over the past two seasons, and attracted interest from across Europe.
Jurgen Klopp’s former side Borussia Dortmund confirmed earlier today that Dahoud has agreed to join them this summer and a deal has been struck with their fellow German club.
Dahoud has been linked to Liverpool regularly over the past year, and even 24 hours before his move to Dortmund was announced, German newspaper Sport BILD reported the Reds were making a late push to try and convince him to sign.
The 21-year-old has scored two goals and provided five assists from central midfield this season.

The youngster would have provided an interesting option in midfield for the Reds, and added competition for captain Jordan Henderson.
Missing out on transfer targets has been a frustration for Liverpool over the past few seasons, and they would have hoped getting a big name boss in Jurgen Klopp would have helped prevent this, particularly regarding Bundesliga talent.
