Lyon have thrown Liverpool’s Nabil Fekir deal into doubt.
The news stemmed from French newspaper L’Equipe which claimed Fekir was set to undergo a medical with the Reds today.
Lyon have taken umbrage with the reports and have moved to deny that a deal is sealed.
Their official twitter account posted two messages insisting that the claims were false.
Their second message urged fans only to trust Lyon’s official website for information.
The Reds are keen to seal a deal before the World Cup for the exciting attacker who struck 23 first team goals last season.
Liverpool fans are understandably a bit worried by Lyon’s statement, with the claims bringing back memories of previous bodged transfer attempts.
