The Reds goalkeeper has suffered a broken hand and will miss two months of the season.
Liverpool’s Loris Karius
Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that Loris Karius is set for an extended spell on the sidelines after breaking his hand.
The German goalkeeper is one of seven new faces at Anfield this summer in what has been a busy transfer window for Jurgen Klopp.
He arrived earlier in the summer, with the German boss looking to bring in stern competition for number one Simon Mignolet.
Liverpool’s Simon Mignolet
The Belgian came in for criticism yet again last season after several unimpressive displays once again for the Reds.
Indeed, Reds fans had been hoping that Karius was being brought in to replace Mignolet as first choice next season.

That is not going to be the case at first though, as he has broken his hand following a collision with Dejan Lovren in the recent clash with Chelsea, according to the Daily Mail.
The German U-21 international is now set to be out for up to two months with the injury, which will see him miss games against Arsenal, Leicester, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
