Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Joe Gomez’s injury
Joe Gomez gave Liverpool fans a scare on Friday night.
The Reds right-back lasted only 10 minutes of England’s 1-0 win over the Netherlands before being forced off with an injury.
The Liverpool ace went down with what looked like an ankle injury and Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate admitted to BBC Sport after that he ‘didn’t like’ the way that Gomez landed.
With Nathaniel Clyne still not yet match fit after missing the whole season with a back injury, it leaves Trent Alexander-Arnold as Jurgen Klopp’s only fit right-back if Gomez is ruled out for a while.
And fans of the Anfield club are unhappy with the prospect of losing a big player during the international break.

With a quarter-final Champions League tie with Manchester City on the horizon, losing a big player is the last thing that Klopp wanted. But it’s worth remembering that no official prognosis has been released on the 20-year-old and hopefully for his and Liverpool fans’ sake it’s not a bad one.
