Liverpool fans back Jamie Carragher.

Jamie Carragher made an emotional apology yesterday on Sky News after a video emerged of him spitting at the family of a Manchester United fan.
The Liverpool legend has been suspended by Sky Sports after The Mirror first posted the video on their website.
Speaking to Sky News, Carragher admitted there was no excuse for his deplorable behaviour.
He said: “I have brought shame on the name of football. I was a role model, people looked to me. I’ve made mistakes in my 25 year career, but this is the worst one.”

Carragher appeared genuinely remorseful and first apologised on social media last night before facing up to the cameras.
His former rival turned presenting pal Gary Neville gave Carragher his backing after the suspension was announced, insisting that he does not deserve to lose his job.
Carragher was not used on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football last night and it is uncertain at this stage if he will feature again this season.
Fans of his former club Liverpool are largely in support of Carragher, and like Neville believe that one moment of madness should not define him.
Carragher has been publicly humiliated by his own actions, and this is not an incident rival fans will let him forget any time soon.
