Jurgen Klopp’s side maintained their good run of form with a 2-1 comeback win against Swansea away from home at the Liberty Stadium in the Premier League.
Leroy Fer put the Swans in the lead after just eight minutes, but the Reds restored parity in the opening minutes of the second half through Roberto Firmino.
Milner completed the comeback for Liverpool from the penalty spot six minutes from full time.
The 30-year-old is a midfielder by trade, but the Englishman has been deployed at left-back by manager Klopp this season.
The former Leeds United and Newcastle United star has scored four goals and created 13 chances in six Premier League appearances for Liverpool so far this campaign.
Against Swansea on Saturday afternoon, Milner took one shot and created two chances.
