Wilson was making his debut for the Reds and came on as a substitute for Philippe Coutinho in the 65th minute.
Liverpool won the game 1-0 through an early goal from Lucas Leiva, remarkably being his first for the club since 2010.
Wilson was not the only youngster to feature, with Trent Alexander-Arnold starting again as he did at Old Trafford at the weekend, along with Ovie Ejaria and Ben Woodburn.

Joe Gomez also continued his recovery from injury by playing all 90 minutes, and there was another opportunity for Kevin Stewart in midfield.
It was Wilson, now 19, who made the biggest impact, with his willingness to run the ball and chase down lost causes giving his side a spark.
He could not help his side add an important second goal, but his display offered plenty of promise for the future, and a second opportunity will certainly be forthcoming.
