Liverpool fans impressed with claims club are tracking Ferran Torres.

Liverpool could be welcoming another Torres to Anfield, according to the reports.

It will not be a comeback for former star Fernando, but instead youngster Ferran Torres is the name linked, report The Mail.

Torres is one of Spain’s brightest young talents and he had a release clause in his Valencia contract of £22 million, before Valencia yesterday upped it to 100 million Euros.

Chelsea are also keen, along with Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Torres, 18, starred at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup last year, along with Liverpool sensation Rhian Brewster.

Torres is an attacking player who features on the wing and he is already pushing for involvement in Valencia’s first team.

The interest from clubs clearly sparked Valencia into trying to improve Torres’ contract, as his current release clause made him a potential bargain.

Liverpool are right to be keen, but Torres will have to weigh up whether he feels he would get closer to first team football by moving to Merseyside.

The Reds have one of the most fearsome attacks in Europe already, and their own top prospects Harry Wilson and Ben Woodburn are struggling to break through.

Torres’ new deal likely puts him beyond Liverpool’s reach, but for a moment, fans were getting excited about his potential arrival.
