Liverpool are on the verge of winning the Premier League title after beating Crystal Palace 4-0 on Wednesday night.

The Reds were a little flat in their 0-0 draw at Everton on Sunday, but were back to top form in a commanding display against the Eagles.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s inch-perfect free kick put Liverpool 1-0 up, before the returning Mohamed Salah ghosted through to score.

Fabinho slammed home a long-range howitzer to make it 3-0, and Sadio Mane completed the scoring to put the Reds on the brink of glory.

If Manchester City lose to Chelsea tonight or if City beat Liverpool next week, then the Premier League title will be heading to Anfield for the first time.

Many Liverpool players starred last night, but Fabinho stole the show with an all-action display in his holding midfield role.

The Brazilian suffered a dip in form earlier this season, but impressed last night as he not only broke up play well but also played a superb assist for Salah’s goal before hammering home a goal of his own.

Liverpool fans took to Twitter in order to react to Fabinho’s display, with many believing he was finally back to his best.

Some felt that he looked so much better than before the global pandemic, praising him as ‘unreal’ and ‘world class’.
