David Luiz is likely to make his second debut for Chelsea against Liverpool on Friday.

Since John Terry suffered an injury in Sunday’s Premier League 2-2 draw with Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium, it has been the talk amongst Chelsea fans.

As confirmed on the club’s official website yesterday, the captain will be out for around 10 days with strained ligaments in his foot.

The Blues’ No 26 sent out a message soon after the statement on his official Instagram account.

As he is ruled out, unless manager Antonio Conte springs a surprise, it will be David Luiz, who was on the bench in Wales, who is called upon to make his second debut for the club in place of Terry.

The Brazilian’s return on deadline day this summer shocked everyone.

While Luiz helped Chelsea lift the Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup in his first stint, he was never far from a mistake.

The 29-year-old was often a liability, prone to numerous howlers, worrying the fans at Stamford Bridge of what to expect ahead of his second coming.
