The 24-year-old is banging the goals in for Liverpool’s Under-23 side.

Liverpool fans seem optimistic that Danny Ings’s form at Under-23 level will see him rewarded with senior Premier League chances by manager Jurgen Klopp.
The 24-year-old striker netted a hat-trick on Sunday afternoon as the Reds’ Under-23 side thumped Ipswich Town’s equivalent 3-0 at Portman Road.
Ings now has six goals in five appearances for the youth side.

The former Burnley hitman is yet to make a Premier League appearance this season, and spent the vast majority of last season out injured.
In fact, Ings has played just one game under Klopp in the league, which was a 26-minute cameo in Liverpool’s end-of-season draw with West Brom last term.

And fans of the Merseyside club would like to see the marksman given more responsibility by being ushered back into the senior set-up.
In Klopp’s defence, if it isn’t broken – and it definitely isn’t – then there’s no need to fix it. Liverpool so far this season have won 16 points from a possible 21.
They are in excellent form and the German manager may be reluctant to tinker with the dynamic in his regular match-day squad unless it is necessary.
Ings is certainly a talent, but it seems like the England striker will simply need to bide his time and take his chance when it comes – and it will sooner or later.
