Will Leicester sign Liverpool striker?
Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is wanted for a reunion with Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City.
The Sun report Rodgers is keen to sign Sturridge this summer, who will be available on a free transfer.
Sturridge enjoyed his best ever season under Rodgers at Liverpool, firing their title challenge n 2013/14.
It is to immense disappointment that he has been unable to kick on since, with his career blighted by injuries.
There have been good moments, his Europa League final goal and winner for England over Wales at Euro 2016. Overall though it’s been a story of disappointment given his lack of game time.
Even when fit, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has not put his trust in him to feature regularly.
He made a vital contribution to Liverpool’s title challenge by scoring against Chelsea earlier in the season but has since been overtaken by Divock Origi in the pecking order.
A move is sensible at this stage and playing under Rodgers again could be the right move.
